Our Ministry and Mission

To carry the Word of God to the nations, and to care for those in need.

Why this ministry exists

Before He returned to the Father, Jesus gave His followers a task (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8). Makeda Word of God Prophetic Ministry exists to answer that call: to spread the Word of God across the world, to pray with people wherever they are, and to meet the needs of the people God places in our path. Everything we do begins and ends there.

‘Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost’

Matthew 28:19

‘Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature’

Mark 16:15

‘Ye shall be witnesses unto me … unto the uttermost part of the earth’

Acts 1:8

Why the Word must go out

Paul asked the questions that move every missionary heart:

‘How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? … How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace’

Romans 10:14-15

Right now, there are people in every nation who have never heard a clear word of hope, who do not own a Bible, or who feel too ashamed or too far away to ask anyone to pray for them. A word of Scripture, spoken in love at the right moment, can turn a life around. That is the work we want to multiply.

Rooted in Ethiopia's ancient faith

We stand in a long line of faith. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo tradition is one of the oldest Christian churches on earth, and the Scriptures it keeps, the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible, have been prayed and preserved for centuries.

‘Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.’

Psalm 68:31

Acts 8 tells how an Ethiopian official, reading Isaiah in his chariot, heard the good news from Philip and went home rejoicing. From the beginning, Ethiopia has been both a receiver and a carrier of the gospel. We want to honor that heritage by making the Word available to every person who asks, in every nation, in a form they can hold in their hands.

What we do

We prepare personalized prayers for healing, protection, family and marriage, bringing your needs before the Lord and asking for His care over the people you love.

We offer prophetic words and messages from God's Word, written for your situation to bring encouragement, clarity and hope grounded in Scripture.

We prepare deliverance prayers for people who feel oppressed or bound, calling on Jesus Christ for freedom and peace.

We write funeral and memorial prayers for families in grief, honoring a loved one's life and asking God to comfort those who mourn.

We offer blessings for homes, children, weddings, graduations and new beginnings, entrusting each milestone to God's loving care.

We pray for provision, work and the daily decisions of life, asking for wisdom, strength and a way forward.

Each prayer or message is built on Scripture and delivered digitally so that people anywhere in the world can receive it. Our offerings are available in more than one language through the site's language selector. Every request is treated as sacred and confidential.

Where your support goes

When you receive a prayer from this ministry, you are doing two things at once. You are receiving the prayer you asked for, and you are standing with the mission. The support that comes through this ministry goes to the mission and the ministry: to keep the work of prayer and the Word going, to carry the Word of God to more people around the world, and to help others in need, as Scripture commands.

Spreading the Word of God worldwide

Your support keeps this ministry open to everyone who asks, no matter where they live or what their circumstances are. It helps us reach more people in more nations with a word of hope from Scripture. And it lets us share God's Word in more languages, so that no one is turned away because of the tongue they speak. Every prayer requested and every verse shared carries the Word a little further into the world.

‘So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void’

Isaiah 55:11

Helping people in need

The Lord's heart has always been for the hungry, the grieving, the sick and the forgotten. When you stand with this ministry, you help us respond with compassion to the people God places in our path. We believe love for God and love for neighbor belong together, and we try to live that out in small, quiet ways. Whatever help goes out from this ministry is given in His name.

‘Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me’

Matthew 25:40

‘Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction’

James 1:27

Keeping the ministry strong

Behind every prayer is quiet, faithful work: keeping the doors open, answering messages, and tending to the daily needs of the ministry. Your support sustains that labor so the prayers keep flowing and no request is left waiting. It also allows us to care for the people who give their time to this work. A ministry that is steady can keep praying for you year after year.

‘The labourer is worthy of his hire’

Luke 10:7

Why our prayers cost so little

We keep the price of a prayer as low as we can, starting at only a few dollars, because no one should be turned away from prayer because of the cost.

‘Freely ye have received, freely give’

Matthew 10:8

If you want a longer, deeper or faster message, there are options, and every one of them supports the same mission. Nobody is pressured to buy more than they want.

How we hold ourselves accountable

We believe a ministry should be honest about what it does and gentle about what it asks.

‘Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver’

2 Corinthians 9:7

You will always receive exactly what the listing describes.

We will never pressure, shame or frighten anyone into buying.
